Account & workspace settings
Make Firebeam yours: appearance, security, notifications and branding.
Personal preferences live in your profile menu; company-wide settings live in the admin area. This page maps out what you can change and where, from the theme and your login security to how shared reports are branded.
Where settings live
There are two layers. Your own preferences (theme, language, login security and notification emails) are personal and follow you across devices. Company settings (formats, branding, the email digest, data export) are workspace-wide and managed by admins. The sidebar's company section holds the admin pages; your avatar menu holds the personal ones.
Your profile: theme and language
Open the menu on your avatar to switch between light and dark theme and to change your interface language. Firebeam speaks eight languages, and the choice is remembered for your account. The same two switches are available from the command palette, and Sign out lives here too.
Security: password and two-factor
Under Settings, Security you can change your password and turn on two-factor authentication (TOTP) with any authenticator app, adding a second factor on top of your password. Enabling 2FA is the single biggest thing you can do to protect your account.
Report branding and whitelabel
On Growth and Enterprise plans, admins can brand what stakeholders see. Upload a company logo (a small PNG) to show on shared report pages and PDFs, and toggle off the 'Made with Firebeam' credit and calls-to-action to whitelabel shared surfaces entirely. Branding follows your plan, so it is only offered where your plan allows it.
Company settings (admins)
The company settings page controls workspace-wide defaults: company name and logo, locale and format preferences (week start, date and time format, timezone, currency, brand colour), the weekly executive digest schedule, and (on higher plans) a full data export. It is admin-only.
Notification preferences
Settings, Notification preferences is where you personally choose which alert types are allowed to email you (the in-app bell always shows everything regardless). It works hand in hand with the alert rules an admin configures (see Alerts & notifications).
API keys and cost per person
Company settings also holds the API keys for connecting AI assistants to your workspace (see AI assistants (MCP)). The monthly cost per person used by FlowLens' investment balance is set directly in that section, by admins.
